This year, we engaged with experienced photographer Olga Amaral, who was eager to rebrand her photography studio. After years in the industry, she found herself attracting a new category of clients with higher financial expectations, prompting her to seek a more elegant and sophisticated brand identity. This rebranding initiative aimed to create a cohesive visual identity that would authentically reflect Olga’s artistic vision while appealing to her evolving clientele.
The planning focused on outlining a strategic approach to developing the studio’s visual identity. Data gathered from the discovery phase informed this process, along with an analysis of current trends in photography and visual storytelling. Our designers created a unique aesthetic that captures the essence of Olga’s work—whether vibrant, moody, or minimalist—ensuring it communicates the desired emotional response. This foundational work set the stage for a brand identity that not only stands out but also resonates with the sophisticated tastes of her new client base.
Discovery: The discovery phase for Olga Amaral's photography studio was pivotal in understanding the essence of her brand and the unique artistic style she offers. This phase involved extensive research, including reviewing written testimonials from recurring clients.
Planning: Mood boards and concept sketches were created to visualize the desired aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the emotions her photography evokes and from Olga's 16-year portfolio, which is dedicated to a variety of niches, such as weddings, fashion, and corporate meetings.
Design: The design phase included crafting all the standard external elements that composed the brand identity, such as animated logo, business cards, and flyers. Additionally, prototypes and mockups were developed to illustrate how these visual elements would be applied across various platforms.
Development: This stage solidified Olga Amaral's photo studio's brand identity by bringing the finalized visual elements to life across all touchpoints. We also provided brand guidelines to outline how the visuals should be utilized in different contexts, as a reference for future marketing efforts.
