The idea of developing a mobile app for the yoga studio emerged from their recognition of the community’s evolving needs during the pandemic, when in-person classes were limited. They seized this opportunity to expand their reach and enhance their offerings. To met the specific needs of Anastasia’s community and stood out in a competitive market, wireframes and user journey maps were developed to visualize the app’s layout and navigation, laying a solid foundation for the design phase.
In the design phase, prototypes were created to illustrate the app’s functionality, allowing for user testing and feedback to refine the design. Key elements, such as buttons for booking classes, accessing resources, and connecting with the community, were thoughtfully crafted to enhance the user experience. Once the design was approved for both Android and iOS platforms, marketing efforts—including compelling descriptions, engaging screenshots, and promotional videos—were implemented to promote the app, drive downloads, and encourage user engagement from the outset.
Discovery: The discovery phase for this mobile project included a competitive analysis to identify key functionalities and user experience goals offered by successful yoga studio apps, such as class booking, instructor profiles, and community features.
Planning: With insights from the discovery phase, the planning stage focused on outlining a strategic roadmap for the app's development. The team prioritized key features, such as class schedules, video tutorials, and meditation guides, based on user feedback.
Design: Here, the visual identity of the app was developed to reflect the calming and welcoming atmosphere of Anastasia's yoga studio. Our designers create a user-friendly interface that features soothing colors, intuitive navigation, and engaging graphics that resonate with the brand’s identity.
Submission: Once the app design was finalized, tested, and met all guidelines set by Google Play and the Apple App Store, the app was submitted for review. Following approval, marketing efforts were launched to promote the app within the yoga community and engagement from the outset.
